MICE โ€“ final project international seminar โ€œVocational competences in MICE sectorโ€ took place in Sucha Beskidzka at WSTiE Wyลผsza Szkoล‚a Turystyki i Ekologii on the 19/09/22.

Partners from Poland ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ Hungary ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ and Ireland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ชโ˜˜๏ธ met to summarise the project ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ and discuss the challenges in business including MICE sector. We talked about โ€œWhat makes a good eventโ€ and how to improve and increase professional competences and the ability to use various types of tools needed on the business market and required by customers and organisers of MICE events (Meetings โ€“ Incentives โ€“ Conferences โ€“ Events).

Maria Grzechynka, the Chancellor of WSTiE opened the conference. Prof. of WSTiE, dr Marek Nocoล„ presented his findings around vocational competences in MICE SECTOR Strategic Partnership Action 2 Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. Dr Bartล‚omiej Walas, prof. of WSTiE presented his research around Polish, Irish and Hungarian competences in MICE industry. Anna Jฤ™drocha from Symposium Cracoviense outlined the current post covid situation in MICE sector. Dr Aleksandra ลšcibich – Kopiec Was representing our company EDU SMART TC LIMITED with her speech โ€œModel and standard competencies of employees in the MICE sector in Irelandโ€.

The last part of the conference – experts panelโ€ was host by prof. of WSTiE, dr Bartlomiej Walas

The objectives and results of the seminar correspond directly to the priorities of Action 2 Strategic Partnerships in the field of vocational education and training.

We discussed different strategies for business looking at tools and solutions enabling the development of key and professional competences of event organisers, and thus improving the quality of MICE services and increasing soft skills allowing for building local and inter-industry partnerships (HORECA, PR, marketing, etc.).
