Vocational competences in the MICE sector – International project Erasmus+

We are pleased to announce that we have started another partnership project under the Erasmus + program entitled Vocational competences in MICE industry.
The Consortium consists of 3 partners from 3 European countries:
• University of Tourism and Ecology in Sucha Beskidzka, Poland – project leader,
• Európai Ökociklus Társaság (European Ecocycles Society), Hungary
• Edu Smart Traning Center Limited, Ireland.

The project “Vocational competences in MICE sector” aims to improve and increase professional competences and the ability to use various types of tools needed on the market and required by customers and organisers of MICE events (Meetings – Incentives – Conferences – Events).

The objectives and results of the project correspond directly to the priorities of Action 2 Strategic Partnerships in the field of vocational education and training.
The main goal of the project is to create a qualification and work standard as well as a model of professional competences of an event manager in the MICE industry.

The partners assumed the development of tools and solutions enabling the development of key and professional competences of event organisers, and thus improving the quality of MICE services and increasing soft skills allowing for building local and inter-industry partnerships (HORECA, PR, marketing, etc.).

The project is dedicated directly to event organisers, MICE employees, and indirectly to MICE employers, vocational schools, and educational institutions.

The project involves desk research in each partner country, and then the development of:
• the qualification and work standard of an event manager (event organiser),
• model professional guidelines for the MICE sector,
• the SOFT SKILLS guide for the MICE sector,
• a training program and a professional apprenticeship program for organisers of MICE events
