EDUCATOR WORKSHOPS IN KELLS 27/09/2023 🇮🇪🇪🇺

Today our workshops for educators took place.

Our workshop focused on providing educators with valuable tools and strategies to enhance their teaching skills and engage adult learners effectively. Throughout the session, participants were introduced to various instructional methods, learning styles, and adult learning principles develop as part of our EDUCATOR PROJECT IN 3 different languages: English, Polish, Macedonian.

The workshop began with an interactive session that allowed educators to reflect on their current teaching practices and identify areas for improvement. This self-assessment exercise helped them understand their strengths and weaknesses as instructors.

Next, the workshop delved into the importance of understanding adult learners and their unique needs. Participants learned about different learning styles and how to adapt their teaching methods to accommodate diverse learners including vulnerable groups. They also explored the concept of andragogy and how it differs from pedagogy.

Participants were then introduced to a range of instructional strategies that promote active learning and student engagement. They learned about techniques such as group discussions, case studies, role-playing, and problem-solving activities. These strategies were designed to encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and application of knowledge.

Our workshop provided practical tips for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Educators were given guidance on fostering learner motivation, building rapport, and managing classroom dynamics effectively. They were also introduced to strategies for providing constructive feedback and assessing adult learners’ progress.

Educators representing different backgrounds had the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from one another. The workshop facilitators also provided additional resources and references for further learning.

Overall, the workshop aimed to equip educators with the necessary knowledge and skills to engage and empower adult learners effectively. By implementing the strategies and concepts learned during the workshop, educators can create meaningful and impactful learning experiences for their adult students.
