NEW PARTNERSHIP 🇮🇪🇧🇪🇵🇱 PROFESSIONALS AND THEIR SKILLS IN HYDROGEN SECTOR

Project no.: 2023-1-PL01-KA220-VET-000159821
Sektor VET, co-funded by the European Union

On 1.11.2023 we started„ PROFFESIONALS AND THEIR SKILLS IN HYDROGEN” project co-funded by the European Union.

The International Consortium of Partners consists of:

1. Stowarzyszenie Zachodniopomorski Klaster Chemiczny „Zielona Chemia” – Szczecin, Poland 🇵🇱

2. Fundacja Edukacji Rozwoju i Innowacji – Kraków, Poland 🇵🇱

3. ECRN European Chemical Regions Network – Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪

4. EDU SMART TRAINING CENTRE LIMITED – Kells, Ireland 🇮🇪

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT are to develop tools (career map, competency framework, training program) supporting the competence development of SME staff in the hydrogen sector.

This will be achieved through:

✅ Mapping of professions in the hydrogen sector (career map).

✅ Identifying and describing competence in new selected professions (competency framework).

✅ Developing and testing a training program for selected competencies.

The implementation of the above actions will allow to achieve the main goal of the project and also in the longer term, it will increase the knowledge and skills of SME staff in the hydrogen sector as part of vocational education and training.

This will help Partners to stimulate the share the knowledge and experience between European Union countries in the hydrogen sector area.

The project implements a priority concerning the environment and the awareness around climate change, as an element of building knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the field of climate and sustainable development in the EU.

Building the potential of SME staff also supports the care for a high-quality value chain in the hydrogen economy.

It also responds to the needs of the labour market primarily in the energy, transport, and industry sectors, which will be most affected by the development of hydrogen technologies.

The project and its results are focused on developing competence in the field of sustainable development in SMEs (in the context of the hydrogen industry). The training program developed in the project will realistically contribute to increasing the knowledge and skills of SME staff in the hydrogen sector.

It will also impact managing changes in SMEs in a dynamically changing economic environment, e.g., resource saving, reducing consumption and energy waste, compensating greenhouse gas emissions, etc. The added value will also be the project’s impact on all stakeholders, not only SME staff but also the broader business environment, NGOs, public sector, etc.

QUANTITATIVE RESULTS include:

1 hydrogen profession map

5 competency frameworks for new professions defined as a map of competency

1 training program for selected competencies (in the form of e-learning)

All results will be available on our e-platform developed by Partners and will be prepared in a digital form (accessible).

QUALITATIVE RESULTS include:

✅ Establishing substantive cooperation with partner organisations outside the project/EU through European Regions – ECRN in the field of competency development in the hydrogen sector.

✅ Increasing the knowledge of Partners as well as experts and the environment in substantive areas – the project’s innovativeness guarantees participants an increase in knowledge in the hydrogen sector area.

✅ Increasing awareness of the use of digital solutions in the vocational training process for the hydrogen industry.

✅ Increasing practical knowledge and skills in project’s implementation and management by the applicant according to Erasmus+ standards, so that in the future Partners will be able to implement further projects and serve other organisations as competent Partners expanding the European Union’s program ecosystem.
