๐Ÿ‘Œ TRANSVERSAL SKILLS IN TIME OF COVID – Managing your own time in remote work ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ป

๐Ÿ‘Œ The main goal is to prepare the participant to manage time while working remotely and to encourage self-motivation to work.

In the era of remote work, time at home flows completely differently than in a noisy office, where things like coffee break, lunch or a team meeting in a conference room occur practically every hour.

Remote work time management is a new and very useful skill.

Research shows that when working from home, the time seems to go by slower, and activities that normally take little time to complete take more time while working remotely.

This, of course, is due to the distractions and the false feeling of abundance of time. It turns out that the key to remote work time management is planning, ie. determining what tasks should be performed, at what time, in what order and when.

Remote work time management allows you to systematize your time and duties.

We can create plans for various periods, e.g. annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly or daily. In individual remote work, a weekly plan and a daily plan will work best.

Long-term plans are usually implemented by entire teams and organizations.

Developing an action plan stimulates action and turns on our inner energy. Creating a good work plan brings you closer to the fulfilment of your duties and dreams, makes the goal not seem as distant as it seemed at the beginning, and this results in starting the necessary work.

Planning consists in defining goals/tasks and ways of their implementation.

These are “pre-emptive” and binding answers to the following questions: What? Who? When? Where? How? With what resources?

Planning is a process that helps a person to think in terms of “general to specific”.

The advantages of planning are: the ability to control actions taken during the day, timely implementation of tasks, realistic assessment of what can be achieved in the planned period, achieving the right work-life balance
